August 2026 Luncheon – Ann Waltman

This month’s speaker is Ann Waltman, Senior Director for the York Regional Office of Make-A-Wish Greater PA and WV. Ann’s presentation is Everything you’ve always wanted to know about Make-A-Wish and more!

During her presentation, Ann will explain the history of Make-A-Wish, both how it started nationally and here in York, PA, the referral process and who qualifies, what types of wishes they do, and how wishes are funded. Her presentation will conclude by offering ways individuals or groups can become involved.

Ann has worked at Make-A-Wish since 2002 and is passionate about their mission. With a degree in social work from Millersville University, she has always worked in positions where she was helping to improve the local community, and she found her home at Make-A-Wish 24 years ago and hasn’t wavered. In her spare time, family is first and foremost. She and her husband love spending time with their two kids and their growing families. Ann loves to say, “Grands are the best!” She also loves to kayak, read, walk, and weight train.
