This month’s speaker is Shelley George Gilgore, the Financial Center Manager at Univest Bank and Trust Co. Shelley’s presentation is Identity Theft and Fraud: How to Protect Yourself.

Shelley has 35 years of experience in the financial banking industry.  Much of that experience focused on local community needs, personal financial counseling with an additional emphasis on how to best serve small businesses in reaching their potential. 

Because of a personal family tragedy, Shelley researched the York area and how to best serve our local youth.  Together with her family, they decided to launch M.A.D.S.  Enterprises in honor of her niece Emily Shoemaker.  This small grassroots non-profit organization has made it their mission to provide mentorship, support, and financial scholarships to York’s local youth.  Additional programs focus on youth entrepreneurship and how our youth can become active members of the community.
