June 2025 Luncheon – Melissa Merritt

This month’s speaker is Melissa Merritt with assistance from Mickey Coffman. Together, they are providing an Adult CPR/AED class complete with basic statistics, signs and symptoms, and information about choking.

Melissa Merritt is a highly experienced American Heart Association (AHA) Instructor with an impressive 29 years of teaching experience in both community and clinical settings. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a passion for promoting life-saving skills and empowering individuals to make a difference in emergency situations.

Her expertise is not limited to teaching; she achieved the esteemed Training Center Faculty level in just three years, an accomplishment that highlights her dedication, skill, and leadership in the field. In addition to this, she has served as the Training Site Coordinator for two different AHA Training Centers, where she managed and supported the growth of high-quality training programs.

Holding a Bachelor of Health Science degree with a minor in Fitness Management, Melissa combines her academic expertise with her passion for health education, creating an environment that fosters learning, growth, and skill development. Her commitment to excellence, combined with her ability to mentor, makes her a highly respected leader and an asset to the American Heart Association community.
