This month’s speaker is Katie Crane, Central PA Program Manager for the Alzheimer’s Association. Katie’s presentation is “Making a Difference in Community.”
Katie Crane is a Program Manager at the Alzheimer’s Association – Greater PA Chapter. In her role, she implements strategies to increase the reach of volunteer-delivered programs, especially in new, underrepresented, and rural communities in Central Pennsylvania. She is responsible for identifying, recruiting, engaging, and growing volunteers and community partners to achieve goals.
Katie began her nonprofit career in 2016 at the Jewish Federation of Greater Harrisburg. In the subsequent years, she held a variety of positions across multiple organizations including a homeless shelter and a nonprofit consulting firm where she assisted nonprofit leaders in grant writing, social media strategy, development, and more.
Katie earned a dual bachelor’s degree in journalism and organizational communication from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania. She now serves on the board of the Partnership for Better Health. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, trying new foods, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
